He told his story as part of the yearly\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/scifest.org\/\">Flagstaff Festival of Science<\/a>\u00a0event, &#8220;Science through Story.&#8221; The event is organized by ECOSS&#8217;s own Dr. Jane Marks in partnership with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.writingclassradio.com\/\">Writing Class Radio<\/a>. In addition to learning about the importance of studying dryland ecosystems in response to changes\u00a0in climate, Jacob also revealed to the audience\u00a0a bit about his careless adolescent\u00a0shenanigans. In the words of Andrea and Allison of Writing Class Radio, &#8220;Everyone has a story.
